BIO
Amy Belanger is editor-in-chief of the Fall 2003 issue
of the Cronkite-Zine. She is studying at ASU to launch a second
career as a writer after a successful 15-year career in conservation advocacy.
Her conservation achievements include winning bans against offshore drilling
in Florida, raising $1.3 million for Southern Appalachian forests, and
co-founding the Green Party USA. She has published articles and essays
in newspapers, books, and educational brochures.
She is currently a freelance
writer, managing editor of the State Press special sections,
Web development intern for the Arizona Republic at Azcentral.com,
and a science teacher at New Samaritan High School.
CRONKITE-ZINE
Belanger's role in the
Cronkite-Zine included organizing editorial board meetings and
creative sessions, making editorial decisions on copy and overall design,
co-designing the banner and navigation bars (with Trey Evans), co-designing
the home page and navigation (with Carol Schwalbe), copywriting and designing
the home page, editing and contributing to the "About Us" section,
and making final edits.
